IntelliJ IDEA Went Open Source

My favourite Java IDE IntelliJ IDEA just spun a community (open source) version.

Just judging by the feature set, it actually has almost everything that was important in IDEA. Check comparison matrix for yourself here.

I believe JetBrains has done a great move - beneficiary for themselves and for community.
